The 36 institutes of the AsKI network are known for their civic involvement and high quality collections. This association includes the archives of the Akademie der Künste. On this 50th anniversary, Monika Grütters, Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, Akademie vice-president Kathrin Röggla and Wolfgang Trautwein, chairman of AsKI, discuss collecting from cultural-political, artistic and institutional points of view.
