Benjamin’s “Berliner Kindheit”. A New Release in the Critical Benjamin Edition

Walter Benjamin’s famous prose miniatures, written from 1932 to 1938, are among the key texts of the modern era. The new edition brings all of the surviving pieces, drafts and notes on the book about his childhood together for the first time, facilitating an exact contextualisation and enabling a precise understanding of Benjamin’s writings. With this volume, the entire Critical Benjamin Edition will appear in a new format: a partial edition online presents the highly complex manuscripts of the project.
