Members Present: Rosa von Praunheim ”Härte”
When he was two years old, he was sadistically tortured by his father; when he was six, his mother started to seduce him—a film inspired by the autobiography of Andreas Marquardt, karate champion, pimp, prison inmate, and now fitness centre owner. In a mix of interviews and dramatized scenes, director Rosa von Praunheim portrays a life where humiliation and fear are transformed into contempt, self-loathing and brutality. Shot in stylized settings, the film offers a harrowing insight into the injuries to a child’s inner life by violence in the family and the desperate attempts at resistance.
Followed by a discussion between Rosa von Praunheim, cinematographer Elfi Mikesch, psychotherapist Jürgen Lemke (Kind im Zentrum), performers and participants.
