In March 1940 “a brivele fun Vilne” (A little letter from Vilna) with Yiddish songs reached the artist couple Lin Jaldati and Eberhard Rebling in Holland. The rare texts are in Lin Jaldati’s archives at the Akademie der Künste and have been published for the first time by the singer Jalda Rebling as a CD. The same source material also inspired historian David Shneer’s new biography on the eventful life of the singer and dancer Lin Jaldati (1912 – 1988).
