Into the Open. Nele Hertling – New Spaces for Arts
Like hardly any other personality, Nele Hertling has helped shape the artistic development of the post-war period in Berlin and Germany through international collaborations. Over more than 60 years, she has created a unique network for dance, theatre and music, especially at the Akademie der Künste and by founding the Hebbel Theatre, but also cultural-political initiatives such as “A Soul for Europe”.
On the occasion of the publication of Ins Offene. Nele Hertling – Neue Räume für die Kunst, a book on her life’s work, some of her companions along the way will come together for artistic interventions and to discuss the importance of art for a common Europe.
With Nele Hertling, Steve Austen, Nicolas Bertrand, Edith Clever, Kathrin Deventer, Cesc Gelabert, Christian Grashof, Sven-Åke Johansson, Klaus Lederer, Matthias Lilienthal, Mahir Namur, Johannes Odenthal, Annemie Vanackere, Hortensia Völckers
