István Szabó: Final report
Film Premiere and Talk
In his latest feature film, István Szabó tells the story of a professor who returns to his old home village. There, he encounters a climate of subservience, suspicion and manipulation, which Szabó reveals to be a psychogram of contemporary Hungary. In the leading role is Klaus Maria Brandauer, with whom he has already worked several times. On the occasion of the film’s German premiere, Szabó is handing over parts of his archive to the Akademie der Künste.
