Lecture and Talk

The experience of growing up in a kibbutz has been described as both an idyllic dream of childhood freedom and an experiment in restructuring the family unit. The lecture by paedagogue and historian Meron Mendel is based on his childhood in Kibbutz Mashabe Sade. Afterwards, by presenting cinematic depictions, he and director Yael Reuveny speak about the Kibbutz Movement as both utopian ideal and a tangible reality.
