After Ain Bailey’s mother passed, the artist followed the impulse to transform the experience of mourning. This sound performance transforms the entirety of the space into a breathing organism. The historical past and presence of the middle passage will be evoked through the architecture and sonic satiety of the Akademie der Künste on Pariser Platz – an immersive experience of visceral wake work.
