Alejandra Ancheita is a renowned human rights defender in Mexico. Being the founder and executive director of Proyecto de Derechos Económicos, Sociales y Culturales (ProDESC), Alejandra Ancheita has more than 20 years experience defending and promoting economic, social and cultural rights of the most marginalized people in her country. Among her most notable accomplishments are the unprecedented results to form accountability mechanisms for transnational corporations in Mexico. In 2014, she was granted with the Martin Ennals Award.
